broke racing team collectively fails at flat kart friday
Flat Kart Friday, Millbridge Speedway
Season Finale, October 13, 2017
Started: Shitty
Finished: Terribly
We'll admit it, after we won the championship in DNQ our amount of fucks to give were pretty low, and we may have partied a little bit. Altogether that led to Friday being a clusterfuck of unpreparedness as we got our karts swapped over to the different engine and weight packages. The 69 kart ran well, but the 420 guys couldn't get their shit together and figure out a really simple fix to get the motor running above 4500 rpm. After they figured out the incredibly obvious and easy fix (we suck) for the B-main, the 420 finished 2nd with Morsillo. Riendeau had already qualified straight to the a-main in both light and heavy, so he got to stand around and make fun of Morsillo. In the Light feature, Riendeau went backwards as he was a good 25 lbs heavy, but Morsillo had a fast kart with a lot of shitty slow karts in front of him. So he just basically ran into everyone and everything, ending up 7th from 14th.
In the Heavy feature, it started to rain during and before the feature, so there wasn't much passing. Morsillo nailed the wall in the 420 and packed the wheels full of mud causing a massive vibration. (I swear it shook the kart, I'm not usually a bitch about that stuff.) Riendeau had a strong top ten run going before his brake pedal fell off under the final yellow. He pulled off the track and the day was done.
Either way, we had a good time even if we did suck.
